Indus Towers
Jefferies downgrades to 'Underperform', cuts target to ₹375 from ₹530
CMP (BSE)
₹423.00
▼ ~3.5% intraday
Global brokerage Jefferies has downgraded Indus Towers from 'Buy' to 'Underperform' and cut its target price from ₹530 to ₹375 — implying ~14% downside from current levels.
Key concerns raised by Jefferies:
🔴 A large number of tower lease renewals are bunching up in FY27 (H2 2026 – H1 2027), creating pricing pressure risk.
🔴 Slower new site additions across telecom sector — less business growth.
🔴 Discounts given to one operator (e.g., Vodafone Idea) may have to be matched for others like Airtel — hitting total revenue.
🔴 Only 3% EPS growth projected with a 4% dividend yield — not enough to compensate for risks.
Revenue and profit estimates cut by 2–6%. Stock fell ~3.5% on heavy volumes (9.5 lakh shares, well above 2-week average).
