Nifty, Sensex post early mild gains despite mixed global cues
The Indian equity markets opened with mild gains early on Thursday. Sensex added 168 points (0.23%) to 73,414 and Nifty gained 45 points (0.20%) to 22,744. Nifty IT was up 0.80%, while private bank and media were top losers. The Federal Reserve kept rates unchanged but two members voted for a hike, raising December hike expectations. Brent crude remains elevated near $114.50. FIIs net bought ₹872 crore on Oct 28; DIIs bought ₹643 crore.

TVS Motor Q2 consolidated net profit jumps 50% to ₹1,195 crore
TVS Motor Company reported a 50.16% jump in consolidated net profit to ₹1,194.51 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹795.48 crore. Total income rose 39.43% to ₹19,572.43 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit rose 52.40% to ₹1,377.15 crore, with total income up 44.29% to ₹17,148.45 crore. Strong domestic and export demand drove the performance.

Jindal Stainless acquires additional 7% stake in SPV for 40 MW solar project
Jindal Stainless acquired an additional 7% equity stake in a special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed with Ampin C&I to develop a 40 MW solar group captive renewable energy project. The project is expected to produce around 61.73 million units annually for captive consumption. With an investment of around ₹5.08 crore, the company has completed its committed investment of ₹13.83 crore, bringing aggregate equity holding to 24.21%.

IndiGo reports passenger load factor of 81.1% in September
InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) reported a Passenger Load Factor (PLF) of 81.1% in September 2026, up from 79.2% in August 2026. The airline carried 77.30 lakh passengers in September 2026 with a market share of 65.4%. PLF measures the average percentage of seats filled on the airline's aircraft fleet.

ACME Solar's arm executes power purchase agreement with NTPC for 400 MW FDRE project
ACME Solar Holdings' wholly owned subsidiary ACME Marigold Urja executed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC for a 400 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. The tariff is ₹4.37 per unit, with supply scheduled to commence by June 30, 2028. The project tenure is 25 years. This strengthens ACME's position in the FDRE segment.

The model is designed for two enterprise archetypes: established GCCs needing AI-led transformation, and mid-market enterprises without an in-country presence. ACME Solar Q2 EBITDA up 63.6%, PAT up 133.5%
ACME Solar Holdings reported EBITDA of ₹874 crore (up 63.6% YoY) and PAT of ₹269 crore (up 133.5% YoY) in Q2FY27. Revenue increased 67.5% YoY, driven by BESS and RE capacity addition. PAT margin stood at 26.7%. The company commissioned ~2.1 GWh BESS during the quarter, taking total commissioned BESS capacity to ~5.2 GWh — the second-largest BESS capacity in India. It also signed 430 MW of FDRE PPAs, taking total under-construction contracted PPA capacity to 4,310 MW.

SBI Cards and Payment Services and Air India entered into a partnership to develop a new co-brand Visa-powered credit card program. The card will offer a rewarding suite of travel and lifestyle benefits to members of Air India's Maharaja Club loyalty programme. The partnership combines the strengths of three leading organisations across airlines, credit cards, and payment networks.

Adani Ports Q2 consolidated net profit rises 17% to ₹3,622 crore
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone reported a 16.50% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹3,621.94 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹3,109.05 crore. Total income rose 16.05% to ₹11,609.77 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit jumped 64.48% to ₹940.97 crore, though total income declined 1.62% to ₹3,044.06 crore. Strong cargo volumes and operational efficiency drove the performance.

Jupiter Wagons secures ₹1,140 crore order from Ministry of Railways
Jupiter Wagons secured an order worth ₹1,140 crore (inclusive of taxes) from the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) for the manufacture and supply of 2,583 wagons. The company expects incremental order inflows of around ₹2,000 crore in Q4 FY27. Its private sector order book also remains strong, supported by demand from private freight operators, wagon leasing companies and core sector customers.

Hyundai Motor Q3 net falls 24.2% on production disruptions, weak demand
Hyundai Motor reported a 24.2% YoY decline in Q3 net profit to 1.93 trillion won ($1.4 billion) due to production disruptions and sluggish global demand. Operating profit rose 5.5% to 2.67 trillion won, while revenue fell 3.4% to 45.11 trillion won. The company lowered its annual sales target to 4 million vehicles from 4.16 million and cut its investment plan to 16 trillion won from 17.8 trillion won. Hyundai Motor India also reported a 23.9% YoY decline in Q2FY27 net profit to ₹1,196 crore.

Jio's Day-One Surge Adds Over ₹2.76 Lakh Crore to Investor Wealth
Jio Platforms shares jumped to ₹1,419 on Wednesday, up ₹300 or 26.81% from its IPO issue price of ₹1,119. The surge added nearly ₹2.76 lakh crore to the company's market value, taking its market capitalisation to approximately ₹13.07 lakh crore. Jio became India's second-most valuable listed company, pushing TCS out of the top five. Reliance Industries remains the most valuable at ~₹15.67 lakh crore.

Bandhan Bank Q2 net profit jumps over 5-fold to ₹622 crore
Bandhan Bank reported an over 5-fold jump in net profit to ₹621.75 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹111.87 crore. Total income rose 9.46% to ₹6,458.42 crore. The strong performance was driven by improved asset quality and higher net interest income. The stock traded higher on the results.

Godawari Power receives 'Consent to Operate' for enhanced Steel Melting Shop capacity
Godawari Power and Ispat received 'Consent to Operate' from the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board for enhancing its Steel Melting Shop capacity from 5,25,000 MT to 5,75,000 MT per annum. The increased capacity will lead to value addition and improvement in operating margins. The plant has started operating with the higher capacity immediately.

Pidilite Industries reported a 6.09% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹614.53 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹579.23 crore. Total income rose 21.02% to ₹4,362.18 crore. Pine Labs reported an over 6-fold jump in consolidated net profit to ₹38.57 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹5.97 crore. Total income rose 23.60% to ₹831.74 crore. On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of ₹56.73 crore vs a loss of ₹2.20 crore. Total income rose 43.94% to ₹656.60 crore. The stock jumped 2% to ₹166.05.

Waaree Energies Q2 consolidated net profit falls 15% to ₹719 crore
Waaree Energies reported a 14.70% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹718.68 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹842.55 crore. However, total income rose 23.10% to ₹7,664.81 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit fell 42.14% to ₹670.88 crore, with total income down 10.48% to ₹4,759.14 crore. Despite the profit decline, the stock surged on revenue growth optimism.

Sensex climbs over 900 points, Nifty tops 22,900 on FMCG, PSU bank rally
Benchmark equity indices traded higher on Thursday, supported by strong buying in FMCG and public sector banking stocks. The Sensex jumped 905.01 points (1.24%) to end at 74,151, while the Nifty surged 237.90 points (1.05%) to settle at 22,936.75. The Nifty Realty and FMCG indices emerged as top sectoral performers, rising 2.75% and 2.34%. PSU Bank index advanced 2.20%. Auto stocks underperformed, with Nifty Auto slipping 0.24%. Midcap and Smallcap indices rose nearly 1% each.

RailTel Corporation of India received a Letter of Acceptance from the Department of Posts for provision of Dedicated GPU Compute & Storage Service on OPEX basis for 5 years. The estimated size of the order is ₹22.78 crore (including tax), to be completed by November 30, 2031.

Capri Global Capital reported a 77% YoY rise in PAT to an all-time high of ₹418 crore in Q2FY27. Consolidated AUM reached ₹43,878 crore, up 62% YoY. Operating profit grew 84% YoY, with cost-to-income improving to 41.4%. RoAE reached 21.6% and RoAA stood at 4.4%. The company targets ₹65,000 crore AUM by FY28 and ₹1,25,000 crore by FY31.
