Larsen & Toubro's business vertical The Public Spaces, Airports & Health (PAH) secured two important orders in New Delhi and Andhra Pradesh. The first order, awarded by Central Public Works Department, is for construction of Government of India's Common Central Secretariat buildings 4 and 5 along Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The project comprises two buildings with total built-up area of 32.8 lakh sq. ft., scheduled for completion in 24 months. The second order, awarded by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, is for construction of two office towers at Amaravati Quantum Computing Centre, covering 37.5 lakh sq. ft., to be completed in 30 months. L&T classifies orders in the ₹2,500-5,000 crore range as 'Large'.

FIIs were net buyers in equities worth ₹1,659.07 crore on Thursday (gross buying ₹17,898.65 crore vs gross selling ₹16,239.58 crore). In debt, they were net buyers of ₹490.20 crore. In hybrid, net sellers of ₹9.33 crore. This marks a positive shift after weeks of selling.

Sapphire Foods India (KFC and Pizza Hut operator) reported a net loss of ₹1.1 crore in Q2FY27 vs a profit of ₹14.2 crore in Q1FY27. Revenue rose 19.7% to ₹888 crore from ₹742 crore. EBITDA rose 23.5% to ₹126 crore, with margin expanding to 14.2%. The company added 15 KFC and 1 Pizza Hut outlet in Sri Lanka, taking total restaurants to 1,086. KFC business delivered strongest quarterly performance in 16 quarters with 26% revenue growth. Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG) came in at 14%. Pizza Hut revenue grew 7% but EBITDA margin remained negative at -2.8%.

Adani Energy Solutions reported a 145% YoY rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,364 crore in Q2FY27. Total income rose 51% to ₹10,239 crore. Operational revenue grew 51% to ₹7,167 crore. EBITDA stood at ₹3,548 crore, up 67%, while operating EBITDA rose 68% to ₹3,070 crore — an all-time high. Consolidated PAT jumped 137% to ₹2,600 crore for H1FY27. The company's active order book stands at around ₹87,000 crore. It won the strategic Vizag and Satara transmission assets. The smart metering platform scaled installation base to approximately 15 million meters.

Benchmark indices ended lower for the third consecutive session on Thursday as rising crude oil prices heightened concerns over the inflation outlook. The Sensex declined 460.30 points (0.62%) to 73,249.39, while the Nifty fell 123.70 points (0.54%) to 22,687.65. The Nifty faced strong selling pressure near its 20-DMA and failed to sustain above this resistance. Long positions should be reviewed if the index closes below 22,600 and its 200-WMA. Adani Total Gas reported a 34% rise in revenue from operations to ₹2,102 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹1,569 crore. Net profit rose 3% to ₹167 crore. EBITDA grew 12% to ₹340 crore. CNG volume increased 17% YoY, while PNG volume grew 3%. Overall volume rose 12%. Around 11.81 lakh homes are now connected with piped natural gas. The company's EV charging network expanded to 5,513 installed charge points across 26 states/UTs and 225 cities. It sold 460 metric tonnes of compressed biogas in H1FY27. ESG scores improved, with NSE Sustainability score at 75 and SES score at 75/100.
