DLF Q2 consolidated net profit rises 10% to ₹1,301 crore
DLFDLF reported 10.28% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,301.35 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹1,180.09 crore. Total income rose 1.57% to ₹2,297.30 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit declined 20.96% to ₹800.32 crore, with total income down 12.40% to ₹1,386.19 crore. Strong consolidated performance driven by residential business.

Sensex, Nifty open flat amid mixed global cues; PSU banks lead gains
MARKET OPENSensex opened at 74,849.30 (up 120.03 points) and Nifty at 23,150.85 (up 4.70 points). Nifty PSU Bank led gains with over 1% rise, followed by Nifty Oil & Gas (+0.6%). Private Bank, IT and Chemicals dropped up to 1%. Experts say Nifty's 2.8% surge last week and good banking results could keep market resilient. However, Brent crude at $109 amid Hormuz tensions remains a strong headwind. Immediate support: 22,950–23,000, resistance: 23,250–23,300.

GMR Airports reports marginal 0.9% rise in September passenger traffic
GMR AIRPORTSGMR Airports reported a marginal 0.9% YoY rise in passenger traffic to 9,240,144 passengers in September 2026 (excluding Cebu). Delhi Airport handled 5,993,880 passengers (+2.7%), while Hyderabad Airport saw a 12.7% decline. Mopa (Goa) Airport registered 286,656 passengers, down 26.9%. Aircraft movements increased 2.3% to 60,553. Delhi saw 4.7% growth in aircraft movements.

Central Bank of India Q2 consolidated net profit rises 21% to ₹1,486 crore
CENTRAL BANKCentral Bank of India reported 20.64% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,485.99 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹1,231.79 crore. Total income rose 14.91% to ₹11,774.37 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit rose 21.11% to ₹1,468.86 crore, with total income up 14.93% to ₹11,737.21 crore. Strong growth in core banking operations.

IDBI Bank Q2 consolidated net profit falls 31% to ₹2,214 crore
IDBI BANKIDBI Bank reported 31.43% fall in consolidated net profit to ₹2,214.45 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹3,229.58 crore. However, total income rose 7.26% to ₹9,936.38 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit fell 39.20% to ₹2,205.45 crore, with total income up 2.83% to ₹9,865.12 crore. The decline was due to higher provisions and one-time expenses.

Bernstein cuts Nifty target to 25,000 by December 2026
MARKET VIEWBernstein reduced its Nifty target to 25,000 by December 2026 from the previous 26,000, citing macroeconomic headwinds, elevated crude oil prices, and supply-chain pressures. The revised target implies an 18x valuation on FY28 earnings. The report noted that an LTCG tax cut alone cannot trigger sustained FII inflows and may be used to offload positions. India has limited scope to gain from a pause in the AI trade. Weak monsoons and lower reservoir levels pose near-term risks.

ACME Solar signs PPA with SECI for 300 MW/1,200 MWh assured peak supply
ACME SOLARACME Solar Holdings' subsidiary ACME Greentech Twenty signed a Power Procurement Agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 300 MW/1,200 MWh assured peak supply under SECI's FDRE-IX tranche at a tariff of ₹6 per unit. The project will supply 4 MWh per MW for four hours daily during non-solar hours, maintaining 90% monthly availability. Post this PPA, under-construction PPA signed portfolio stands at 4,310 MW.

PNB Q2 consolidated net profit rises 15% to ₹5,898 crore
PNBPunjab National Bank reported 15.08% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹5,898.37 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹5,125.28 crore. Total income rose 5.74% to ₹38,791.10 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit rose 12.82% to ₹5,532.23 crore, with total income up 5.44% to ₹38,185.41 crore. Strong asset quality and NIM improvement drove the performance.

HFCL Q2 consolidated net profit jumps over five-fold to ₹363 crore
HFCLHFCL reported over five-fold jump in consolidated net profit to ₹362.91 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹67.86 crore. Total income rose over two-fold to ₹2,569.25 crore from ₹1,056.38 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit jumped over four-fold to ₹268.02 crore, with total income up over two-fold to ₹2,203.06 crore. Strong order execution and margin expansion drove the performance.

Sugar stocks fall as OMCs bar sugar-based ethanol in 2026-27 tender
SUGAR STOCKSSugar stocks fell after state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) barred ethanol made from sugarcane juice, sugar syrup and B-heavy molasses from their latest procurement tender for the 2026-27 supply year for blending in petrol. Shree Renuka Sugars fell 5.65%, Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar fell 5.31%, and Balrampur Chini Mills fell 3.42%. The government seeks to protect domestic sugar supplies while sustaining the ethanol blending programme.

Angel One rolls out US stock investing for Indian investors
ANGEL ONEAngel One has started rolling out US stock investing on its app after IFSCA's approval for brokers to offer international investing from GIFT City. Indian investors can buy stocks and ETFs listed in the US, including Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Nvidia, Netflix and Toyota. Fractional investing is available, with the facility extended to all users by mid-November. Brokerage waived till December 2026, then 0.1% per trade (minimum $0.99).

Sensex falls 876 points, Nifty slips below 22,900 amid bank, IT selling
MARKET WRAPBenchmark indices ended sharply lower on Monday. The Sensex declined 876.37 points (1.17%) to 73,852.90, while the Nifty fell 257.20 points (1.11%) to 22,888.95, snapping its two-day winning streak. Nifty formed a long bearish candle as selling emerged near the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement at 23,186. The index breached the crucial 23,000 support. Immediate support: 22,800–22,820; resistance: 23,000–23,186. Private Bank was the worst-performing sector; IT stocks also declined.

NATCO PHARMANATCO Pharma launched Carboplatin Injection, a generic version of Paraplatin, in the US market through its subsidiary NATCO Pharma USA LLC. The product is launched in manufacturing collaboration with Teyro Labs, Chennai. Carboplatin Injection is indicated for advanced ovarian carcinoma. The product had estimated US sales of $27.8 million for 12 months ending June 2026.

NSENSE announced timings for the special live trading session of Diwali Muhurat trading on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The session will begin with pre-open order entry from 2:05 PM to 2:15 PM, followed by order matching until 2:17 PM. Normal market trading will commence at 2:20 PM and continue until 3:30 PM for non-CAS securities. Trading in CAS securities will conclude at 3:15 PM. Block deal session: 1:50 PM to 2:05 PM. All trades will carry settlement obligations.

FIIs net buyers in equities on Oct 19, purchase ₹2,643 crore
FII FLOWFIIs were net buyers in equities worth ₹2,643.24 crore on Monday (gross buying ₹21,530.79 crore vs gross selling ₹18,887.55 crore). In debt, they were net sellers of ₹38.85 crore. In hybrid, net sellers of ₹17.39 crore. This marks a positive shift after weeks of relentless selling.
