HDFC AMC Q2 profit rises 12% to ₹750 crore
HDFC AMCHDFC AMC reported PAT of ₹7,499 million (₹750 crore) in Q2FY27 vs ₹7,179 million, up 12% YoY. Operating profit rose to ₹9,069 million from ₹7,796 million. QAAUM stood at ₹9,691 billion with 11.1% market share. Equity:Non-equity ratio at 67:33 vs industry 58:42. Individual investors contribute 70% of AUM vs industry 61%. Total live accounts at 32.3 million.

Essar Oil & Gas expands CBM footprint with 5 new blocks across 3 states
ESSAR OILEssar Oil & Gas has been awarded five new CBM blocks through Government's Special CBM Bid Rounds 2025 and 2026. The blocks add 1,281 sq km of new acreage across West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana, with estimated 6.6 TCF of gas-in-place resources. The company currently produces ~950,000 SCMD, accounting for nearly 50% of India's CBM production. Ambition: contribute 5% of India's natural gas production.

Wipro Q2 net profit falls 4.6% to ₹3,200 crore; revenue rises 9%

Heritage Foods Q2 profit falls 39% as milk procurement costs rise
HERITAGE FOODSHeritage Foods reported 38.6% YoY decline in net profit to ₹31.3 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹51 crore. Revenue rose 18.6% to ₹1,320 crore. EBITDA declined 4.4% to ₹73.8 crore, with margin narrowing to 5.6% from 6.9%. Average milk procurement price rose 11% to ₹47.73/litre. Milk business revenue grew 8.5%, with volumes up 2.5%. Value-added products: lassi revenue up 91%, ice cream up 81%, buttermilk up 66%, paneer up 38%.

Alok Industries Q2 net loss widens to ₹208 crore, revenue declines 36%
ALOK INDUSTRIESAlok Industries reported consolidated net loss of ₹208.4 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹162.4 crore. Revenue declined 35.5% YoY to ₹885.7 crore. However, EBITDA rose to ₹41.3 crore from ₹5 crore, with margin expanding to 3.8% from 0.5%. H1FY27 revenue rose 10.5% to ₹2,070.87 crore, but net loss widened to ₹346.67 crore. Accumulated losses stand at ₹25,340 crore.

SEBI revises closing auction timings, retains 30-min VWAP for expiry-day settlement
SEBISEBI issued final framework on Closing Auction Session (CAS), retaining the 30-minute VWAP methodology for determining expiry-day settlement prices. CAS will operate from 3:30 PM to 3:40 PM on all trading days, effective December 7, 2026. Index derivatives will trade till 3:45 PM, but expiring contracts will stop at 3:30 PM on expiry day. Stock derivatives will trade till 3:45 PM including on expiry days. Post-close session: 3:50 PM to 4 PM.

Tech Mahindra Q2 consolidated net profit grows 33% to ₹1,586 crore
TECH MAHINDRATech Mahindra reported 32.74% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,585.60 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹1,194.50 crore. Total income rose 15.23% to ₹16,172.80 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit surged 37.26% to ₹1,613.80 crore, with total income up 15.97% to ₹14,280 crore. Strong deal wins and AI-led engagements drove the performance.

Bharat Dynamics signs ₹1,307 crore contract with Indian Navy

The order is classified as 'Large-scale' (₹50-100 crore). Execution: 15 months; O&M period: 5 years. This is the fifth order secured by SBESPL from BPCL.

M&MMahindra & Mahindra launched the XUV 3XO ZNG, its first mainstream CNG passenger vehicle, at a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Powered by a turbocharged engine delivering 82 kW power and 200 Nm torque in both CNG and petrol modes, with certified efficiency of 24.7 km/kg. Brokerages flag capital risks for Yes Bank after SC order; stock falls 4%
YES BANKYes Bank shares fell nearly 4% to ₹17.45 after the Supreme Court upheld the quashing of its ₹8,415 crore AT-1 bond write-off. Citi maintained sell rating with target ₹17.50. Morgan Stanley retained underweight with target ₹17. Citi estimates the reversal could lead to a 250 bps reduction in CET1 ratio to 11.5% and erode book value by 13-14%. Morgan Stanley estimates post-tax impact of ₹6,300 crore, representing ~12% of net worth.

OMAXEOmaxe entered into an MoU with Carnation Hotels (wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels) to operate 10 hotel projects across India, comprising 4,000 keys. This marks a step in Omaxe's ₹6,200 crore hospitality expansion announced in June 2026, envisaging 19 hotels across five states. The 10 projects entail an estimated investment of around ₹4,000 crore and span Lucknow, Vrindavan, Amausi, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Amritsar, Kaushambi and Faridabad.

JIO FINANCIALJio Financial Services reported 51.02% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹340.44 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹695.04 crore. However, total income rose 69.53% to ₹1,699.41 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit rose 26.05% to ₹575.34 crore, with total income up 25.50% to ₹677.72 crore. The PAT decline is primarily due to zero dividend income in this quarter.

FIIs net sellers in equities and debt on Oct 16: NSDL
FII FLOWFIIs were net sellers in equities worth ₹4,145.84 crore on Friday (gross buying ₹13,806.57 crore vs gross selling ₹17,952.41 crore). In debt, they were net sellers of ₹1,071.30 crore. In hybrid, net sellers of ₹7.09 crore.

Jindal Saw Q2 net profit drops 69% to ₹47 crore
JINDAL SAWJindal Saw reported 69.1% YoY decline in net profit to ₹47 crore in Q2FY27 vs ₹152 crore. Revenue rose 5.6% to ₹4,472 crore. EBITDA declined 42.3% to ₹261 crore, with margin contracting 490 bps to 5.8% from 10.7%. Total expenses rose 10.13% to ₹4,505.22 crore. On a sequential basis, net profit fell 54.84% to ₹47.04 crore from ₹104.17 crore.
🗣️ Rupie Speak जिंदल सॉ का Q2 मुनाफा 69% घटकर 47 करोड़ हुआ। रेवेन्यू 5.6% बढ़ा, लेकिन EBITDA मार्जिन 10.7% से 5.8% पर आ गया। खर्च 10% बढ़ने से मुनाफे पर दबाव पड़ा। स्टील पाइप सेक्टर में कॉस्ट बढ़ने की चुनौती है।
