Poonawalla Fincorp shares down nearly 16% in a year despite 5-fold profit jump
POONAWALLAPoonawalla Fincorp reported a nearly 5-fold jump in Q2FY27 consolidated profit to ₹375 crore vs ₹74 crore a year ago. Total income rose to ₹2,625 crore from ₹1,543 crore. Interest income increased to ₹2,416 crore from ₹1,402 crore. Despite strong earnings, the stock is down 15.61% in 12 months, closing 2.25% higher at ₹448.05. Emkay Global maintained 'Reduce' rating with ₹410 target.

FII holdings in India grew 3.6 times to $783 billion since 2012
FII DATAFII ownership of Indian equities fell to a 17-year low of 15.1%, but the absolute value of holdings rose 3.6 times to around $783 billion since 2012. Holdings stood at $217.3 billion in 2012, peaked at ~$930 billion in September 2024, and now stand at ~$783 billion. The decline in ownership share reflects faster growth in domestic investor participation. The $50 billion FII outflow since 2024 compares with ~$40 billion of inflows between 2017 and 2024.

AIRFLOA RAILAirfloa Rail Technology signed an MoU with KTK Group Co. to jointly pursue eligible Platform Screen Door (PSD) projects in India. The collaboration brings KTK's engineering expertise in PSD systems with Airfloa's local project execution capabilities. It also envisages an Indian manufacturing programme led by Airfloa for selected mechanical & electrical components used in full-height platform screen door systems.

Saatvik Green Energy bags ₹100 crore order from MSEDCL
SAATVIK GREENSaatvik Green Energy received an order from MSEDCL for design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 5,000 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP capacity. Total order value is around ₹100 crore (exclusive of GST). Installation to be completed within 60 days from work order issuance.

Bajel Projects secures EPC order for 220kV GIS Substations in Mumbai
BAJEL PROJECTSBajel Projects was awarded an EPC order for supply and installation of 220kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substations at Salsette and Powai in Mumbai. The order falls in the ₹200 crore-₹300 crore 'Major Orders' category. GIS technology needs far lesser space than conventional substations, making it ideal for dense urban load centres like Mumbai.

KEC International wins orders worth ₹1,014 crore in India T&D business
KEC INTLKEC International secured new orders worth ₹1,014 crore in its India T&D business, including its first order for setting up a 765 kV Transmission line for evacuation of power from a Pumped Storage Plant (PSP) in Western India. Earlier, the company had secured orders worth ₹1,030 crore across various businesses.

Godrej Properties unveils pedestrian corridor along LK Mehta Marg with BMC, RC Group
GODREJ PROPGodrej Properties and RC Group, in partnership with BMC, completed and inaugurated the newly developed pedestrian corridor along LK Mehta Marg — the first completed public infrastructure project under the Bandra Bay Beautification Initiative. The corridor is the first step in a larger plan that includes a green promenade, open lawns, a pet park, a reading zone and an amphitheatre. A mini golf course and sports zone are planned next.

Avenue Supermarts reports 9% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit
DMARTAvenue Supermarts (DMart) reported 8.55% rise in consolidated net profit at ₹743.57 crore for Q2FY27 vs ₹685.01 crore a year ago. Total income rose 17.74% to ₹19,657.54 crore from ₹16,695.87 crore. On a standalone basis, net profit rose 7.64% to ₹803.60 crore and total income increased 18.32% to ₹19,229.45 crore. Shares declined despite the profit growth.

Paradeep Parivahan secures road transportation contract from JSW Cement
PARADEEP PARIParadeep Parivahan (PPL) secured a road transportation contract from JSW Cement for transportation of cement, Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) and other bulk materials. The contract involves transporting thousands of tonnes per month from JSW Cement's Raigad facility to customer-designated destinations. This complements PPL's proposed acquisition of 100 bulkers.

Oswal Pumps' arm gets nod to set up 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility
OSWAL PUMPSOswal Pumps' wholly owned subsidiary Oswal Solar Energy (OSEPL) received board approval to set up a 1.2 GW solar cell manufacturing facility based on TOPCon technology. Commercial production expected by April 2028. Total project cost is around ₹456 crore, with ₹296 crore via debt and ₹159.85 crore from unutilised IPO proceeds. Entire output for captive consumption by OSEPL's in-house solar module lines.

SJS Enterprises' arm inks pact to establish manufacturing facility in Pune
SJS ENTERPRISESSJS Enterprises' wholly-owned subsidiary SJS Display Electronics (SDEPL) entered into an Agreement to Sub-Lease for establishing its manufacturing facility on a Build-to-Suit basis at Village Koregaon Bhima, Taluka Shirur, District Pune, Maharashtra. The facility is expected to be ready for commercial operations by September 2027. This marks expansion into the cover glass and display electronics business.
